1st and 2nd grade.
Joey
Bostad
K3 Instructor
Joey has many years of experience working
with three-year-old children and she is excited for the school year
to begin. Joey's favorite part of teaching is the
time she spends in the classroom getting to know each of the
children. She is a kind, caring individual with lots of energy which
she brings to her classroom.
Joey’s Teaching Philosophy
"I believe that each child is unique individual,
who needs to develop social, emotional, physical, and cognitive
skills at his/her own rate. These skills can be fostered in a safe,
nurturing environment where children are given chances to explore,
experiment, and solve problems through play and teacher activities."
Why does Joey love Saint Joseph Parish School?
"I love the welcoming feeling of community you
get when you enter the doors of this school. Everyone here at
SJPS is so willing to give a
helping hand and work together to accomplish the goal of educating
children."
Karen

She has a care
and warmth for children like none other! She brings creativity
and energy to our school each and every day, and the biggest
benefactors of her love for education are her K4 students!
Karen's Teaching Philosophy
"I believe my job as a teacher is to nurture the growth of
the students, to encourage and promote a positive attitude about
learning and about themselves."
Why does Karen love Saint Joseph
Parish School?
"Everyone at St. Joseph Parish School is overly welcoming
and caring. There is a special family atmosphere here as
everyone works together to provide a dynamic learning environment."
Julie
Lemke
K5 Instructor
Mrs. Lemke is a dynamite teacher with the
knowledge and professionalism of a veteran teacher. She greets
her students each day with smiles and hugs ~ perfect for those 5
year-olds! The parents and students alike find her to
be a true delight.
Julie’s Teaching Philosophy
"My philosophy of teaching is that in order for children to
learn, a relationship must be formed between teacher and student.
By forming this relationship each student feels they are in a
comfortable setting and are then able to take on the challenge of
learning!"
What does Julie like best about Saint Joseph Parish School?
“This school is so welcoming and full of life! Everyone is
willing to help, to lend a hand in a moments notice. If you
are considering sending your child to this school, I can say with
confidence, you will be very impressed with all it has to offer your
child and your family!"
Annette Doherty
Grade 1 Instructor
SJPS has been blessed with Annette as
part of the teaching staff for over 25 years. We could not wish for
a better teacher for our 1st grade students. She is highly admired
by her fellow staff and the parents of our students. In addition to
teaching 1st grade, Annette is the coordinator of our school liturgy committee. She
also serves as our supportive consultant.
Annette’s Teaching Philosophy
"I believe that school is an extension of the family. I believe that every
child can and should have a successful learning experience. It is my
responsibility to provide a positive, secure, caring atmosphere for
learning and to take each child the level he/she is at. I hope to
encourage the interests and abilities already developing in each
individual child by the time he/she comes to first grade as well as to
help him/her discover new interests. I strive to help build a solid
foundation for a lifelong love of learning."
What Annette likes best about St. Joseph Parish School?
"Some of the reasons I love being at St. Joseph’s are learning, helping,
sharing, giving, forgiving, laughing, crying, celebrating, hoping,
praying, working and growing with the best family of students, parents,
staff, and parish members around."

knowledge and expertise to her position. Her care and love for children is
seen in everything she does. She is well respected and a true role-model

the best of their ability. I endeavor to create a place where learning is
exciting and children are involved in the learning process. My goal is to
instill a love of learning that will carry students through their academic
career."
